I just finished up Stephen King's Dark Tower series of books. I was more into this set of books than I've ever been any other. It's an amazing story. There are 7 books in the series, the first was written when he was 19 the last was written when he was 57.

As I was reading the books I kind of got a feeling that it was a lot like the show Lost. It had it's significant number (19) that could be seen in almost everything that happened, like Hurley's lottery numbers, it had a lot of the magic/creepy/heeby jeeby stuff like Lost, and lots of other similarities. I was also thinking what a great idea it would be to adopt it to a movie like The Lord Of The Rings was done. The story's so long it'd take several movies to tell the tale. Then I found on the net a while ago that the writers/producers of Lost have bought the rights from King (who would like to see it done as a movie) for $19. It also said that they began writing the script for the movie in February of this year.

Has anyone else read these books? If not, you should.
